5 roll calender system
The use of a five-roll calender system, as opposed to the normal four-roll type, significantly improves production efficiency, but also allows the color film and abrasion-resistant layer to be bonded more closely to the core and increases their peel strength. The first three rolls are heated with oil, so that the colored film and top layer are bonded to the core by a hot press without the use of glue. The last two rollers are water-cooled, so when the temperature changes, the embossing pattern and embossing depth will not change. The use of EIR technology allows for a perfect match between the color film pattern and the embossing pattern.
